Come walk with me
let us sing to YaH;
let us trumpet with joy
to Her who is our safe stronghold.
Let us come to His presence
And give thanks
and make a pleasing harmony to Him
with our singing.

O come, let us sing unto the LORD
let us shout for joy
to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving
let us shout for joy unto Him with psalms.
   Oh come, let’s sing to Yahweh.
   Let’s shout aloud
   to the rock of our salvation!
   Let’s come before his presence
   with thanksgiving.
   Let’s extol him with songs!

Kavvanot - Intentions

L'chu Neranena - Let's go, let's go together, journey together, let the energy of this ancient pilgrimage psalm and the power of our joint voices carry us over hills and down valleys across oceans and deserts- a pilgrimage to the Holy of Holies, into the Temple of our hearts.

Nekadma Fanav B'Toda – When we wish to go and seek God's face let's start with Gratitude – Toda. Let ourselves be charged for this evening's journey with the essence of all that we are grateful for

Kavvanot - Intentions

The children lead us when we take our first steps in our journey. They are closer to the simple place where sea and dry land are not yet separated. In their laughter and play they live and continuously revive the magic of creation.

Translation (all)
The sea is His, and He made it;
and His hands formed the dry land.

Kavvanot - Intentions

Once we were all wandering in the desert. Sometimes it feels as if we are still wandering and wondering: What does God want from us? What do we want from God? Four thousand years are just like the forty. We are still wandering around in the struggle and the pain.

Reb Zalman
JPS World Bible
For forty years I quarreled with that generation,
and said, They are a people who err in their heart,
and they do not esteem My ways.
Therefore I swore in My fury
that they should not enter into my rest

For forty years was I wearied with that generation, and said: It is a people that do err in their heart,
and they have not known My ways;
  Wherefore I swore in My wrath, that they should not enter into My rest

 Forty long years I was grieved with that generation,
and said, “It is a people that errs in their heart.
They have not known my ways.”
Therefore I swore in my wrath,
“They won’t enter into my rest.”

Psalm 95 - Poetic Translation by R' Zalman Schachter - Shalomi

Come walk with me
let us sing to YaH;
let us trumpet with joy
to Her who is our safe stronghold.
Let us come to His presence
And give thanks
and make a pleasing harmony to Him
with our singing.
For YaH is great, is God,
Sovereign over all who govern.

In His hand are
the depths of the earth;
the heights of the mountains are also His.
The sea is His, and He made it;
and His hands formed the dry land.O come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before YaH our maker.
For he is our God;
and we are the people He nurtures,
the folk which He guides.

Even nowadays you can feel this,
if you will only listen to His voice!
Which warns:
Do not harden your hearts,
like you did at Meribah's brawl,
and like you did in the day of the Massah riot
in the wilderness;
When your fathers tempted Me,
and pestered Me, even though
they had seen My deeds.
For forty years I quarreled with that generation,
and said, They are a people who err in their heart,
and they do not esteem My ways.
Therefore I swore in My fury
that they should not enter into my rest

JPS 1917
1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD; let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout for joy unto Him with psalms.
3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods;
4 In whose hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also.
5 The sea is His, and He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.
6 O come, let us bow down and bend the knee; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the flock of His hand. {N}
To-day, if ye would but hearken to His voice!
8 'Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness;
9 When your fathers tried Me, proved Me, even though they saw My work.
10 For forty years was I wearied with that generation, and said: It is a people that do err in their heart, {N}
and they have not known My ways;
11 Wherefore I swore in My wrath, that they should not enter into My rest.' {P}

Let’s kneel before Yahweh, our Maker,

We are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep in his care.
Today, oh that you would hear his voice!
95:8 Don’t harden your heart, as at Meribah,
as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,
95:9 when your fathers tempted me,
tested me, and saw my work.
95:10 Forty long years I was grieved with that generation,

They have not known my ways.”
