Many of us have heard of the Baal Shem Tov (Besht for short), the Spiritual Master that radically changed the face of Jewish Europe in the 18 century. Some of us may have heard the legends of this miracle maker that loved the simple poor Jews and brought comfort to those in distress. Five years ago I started delving into the Besht teachings. What I found in them is profound guidance for the spiritual quest of the modern seeker, almost as if the Besht has hidden some treasures for us all to find! These oral teachings, brought to us through the lenses of different students, are gems of wisdom and surprise.
